[I-Historical Perspective West-Pahlavi Regime Nuclear Cooperation* A. ALI AKBARI BAYEGI† Abstract: Iran’s scientific quest for mastering peaceful nuclear technology has become a hot topic of discussions among media outlets across the globe. Since the Iranian quest in this field dates back to the 1950s, and understanding the ongoing developments on Iranian nuclear program needs taking into consideration its chronological background, the present article, using authentic documents and records, tries to illustrate a general framework of Iran’s past nuclear activities. Quite a lot of documents and records serve to further prove that the very same countries which are now at loggerheads with Iran over its civilian nuclear program were the ones that once collaborated with the Pahlavi’s regime to develop the country’s nuclear energy program.
